Therapalooza, the premier fundraising event for local non-profit, The Therapy Place, raises funds for therapies and support services that help children with developmental challenges reach their full potential.  Every week, the dedicated staff members at The Therapy Place provide vital services to over 120 young children with developmental delays or lifelong conditions such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome among other rare syndromes and challenges.  “If you do not have a child who needs our services, you may have never heard of us and our services. But the programs that we offer are vital for so many young children who have delays or lifelong conditions, ” says Executive Director, Dawn Darby.

 This year’s Therapalooza event will highlight the Senn family, who will share with Therapalooza attendees their story about their son, Avik’s, rare diagnosis and the path that led them to The Therapy Place.  First participating in therapies, and then enrolling in the one-of-a-kind Bridges Therapeutic Preschool Program, Avik became more independent and ready for kindergarten.  While Avik continues to receive therapies at The Therapy Place, the family also continues to participate in TTP family fun days and support services.
